Because there’s more to Taguig and you should know that.

Taguig is a highly urbanized city located in the southeastern portion of Metro Manila in the Philippines. Before it came to be, the place was a community of farmers, and fishers. Now, it’s a commercial, residential, and industrial hub for people all over the metro.

This seventh-most populous city in the Philippines has a lot of places you could visit. Whether you want to chill, have fun, dine, shop, and do extraordinary activities, you can find a perfect spot right here.

If you’re in the area, here’s a list of the TOP 10 PLACES in Taguig you should visit:

1. Heroes Cemetery (McKinley Road, Fort Bonifacio)

apics

Many tourists and visitors pay tribute to more than 49,000 American and Filipino military personnel at the Heroes Cemetery, or “Libingan ng mga Bayani.” This is the resting place for WW2 soldiers, heroes, martyrs, and statesmen. National Artists are also interred here. The Heroes Cemetery is the counterpart of the Manila American Cemetery and Memorial.

2. BGC Murals (Bonifacio High Street)

apics

The most famous district in Taguig is Bonifacio Global City, which is also called the “Home of the Passionate Minds.” You could say that it’s also one of the best places to display various big scale public art (murals) that anyone would hope to see. The murals first appeared in 2015, and are done by international and local artists from the ArtBGC festivals, hosted by the Bonifacio Arts Foundation or BAFI, who wanted to bring art to the city. Snap a picture or two with these murals as background!

3. Jose Yao Campos Park (3rd Avenue, Bonifacio Global City)

apics

A perfect place for a breath of fresh air. The Campos Park (beside Mind Museum) is one of the few parks in BGC. This is named after the founder and chairman emeritus of United Laboratories, Jose Yao Campos. It features a landscape that’s abundant in greeneries, making it the best place for photoshoots, yoga sessions, and lunch breaks. We need more green parks, don’t you think?

4. Valkyrie Nightclub at The Palace (Uptown Bonifacio)

This place is 75th best in DJ Mag’s Top 100 clubs in the world, and the biggest nightlife destination in the country. Why the biggest? Well, it can hold up to 2,500 people. But really, this is a dining hot spot. Grab a quick snack or stay longer in one of the restaurants there if you have more time to spare.

10. Venice Grand Canal Mall (Upper McKinley)
